Welcome to Paint ur Art Out, a vibrant gallery in Calgary showcasing local talent across various styles and genres.  Over half of the artists and artisans are  emerging artists. We offer diverse art classes in different mediums suitable for all ages and skill levels. Additionally, we host exciting kids' art camps and clubs, providing young artists with a supportive space to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Experience the joy of creation at Paint ur Art Out – whether for leisure, to try new experiences, or to find a unique gift for that special someone!

CREATE FOR FUN

These class series are fun-filled nights where you can create something specific with detailed instruction. They are available for all skill levels – beginners are welcome. We offer a variety of options for different painting mediums, as well as opportunities to pottery, dreamcatcher art, or even try a soap-making class. Whether you're looking for a fun night out with friends, a team-building activity, or a special date night, we have something for everyone.

Paint to Learn

This painting series is perfect for anyone wanting to try something new or learn a different medium. You'll get the basics, learn what materials to buy, explore your options, and find out how to keep learning at home. Plus, the series dives into different mediums, offering cool techniques and helping you refine your style. Led by experts, these classes are all about leveling up and having fun with your art. Whether you want to improve your drawing skills or master painting techniques, there's something for everyone!

Paint to Grow

This series explores the various mediums with more advanced techniques or honing in on specific styles within the medium. The instructors have expertise in the medium and will be a part of either levelling up or learning the process that they use for the medium. These classes may be specific, or self-directed and will have a variety of options available to try. Examples of topics may be: Improve Your Drawing Skills, Acrylic Paint Beyond the Basics, How to Incorporate Mixed Media into Your Paintings, Advanced Watercolour Techniques, Colour Theory, Painting in Grayscale, etc.  

 

KIDS ART CLASSES

For young artists who love to draw and create, Paint Ur Art Out Gallery offers engaging children's art camps throughout the year, including on PD days, spring break and over the summer holidays. These camps provide a wonderful opportunity for children to explore various drawing techniques, art fundamentals, and explore different mediums  in a supportive and instructive environment. Additionally, during the school year, we host a vibrant children's art club after school hours where kids collaborate on exciting projects, fostering their creativity and passion for art.  Creativity is a an important life skill that needs to be nurtured, at Paint ur Art Out we aim to be a part of your child’s creative journey.


 

Private events and individual art lessons

Additionally, in our gallery, you have the option to book a private event for your group of friends, offering a unique and enjoyable experience.  Book a special event  by scheduling one of our art classes exclusively for your group. Simply send us an email with your preferred date and the class that interests you, and we'll take care of the rest. We also provide refreshments and charcuterie to add to the ambiance of the event. We can do an alcohol license for private events and prices are subject to your specific requests.

Furthermore, you can also book individual or group lessons with our experienced art instructors. This is perfect for those seeking guidance with new art techniques or needing assistance in completing unfinished paintings. Whether you're grappling with a new skill or seeking to breathe life into a stalled project, our instructors are here to help. In addition to the guidance, we provide a fully equipped painting space with an easel, table, great lighting, and access to a clean-up station.
